‘We provide a confidential service offering practical and emotional support.’

We support unpaid carers of all ages who live in the Helensburgh & Lomond area.

An unpaid Carer is a person of any age, who looks after family members, friend, or neighbour who are in need of support. This could be due to physical disability, mental health issues, substance misuse, frailty or illness. You are classed as an unpaid carer whether or not you receive carers allowance.

We have a team of carer support workers who have many years of experience supporting carers and the issues they may face. Referrals and signposting will be made to partner organisations when additional assistance and support is required.

We offer a wide range of services, support and social activities. All our services are free to those carers who are registered with us. To find out more browse this website, pop into the carers centre or give us a call.

Testimonials

“All the children really look forward to the sessions because really fun activities are planned and it is a special time just for those that are Young Carers. Their role as young carers is recognised and they build a close and trusting relationship with the workers and it’s a chance for them to relax, reflect and talk.”

Primary Headteacher

“I really enjoy coming along to trips with Young Carers because I’ve got more confidence and have new friends. I particularly enjoyed sailing with Ocean Youth Trust as it was such a challenge and had never done anything like that before. I love being a part of Young Carers.“

Young Carer

“The carers centre is a lifeline and without their support I do not know where me and my family would be. The art workshop was great fun , I enjoyed meeting other carers and having some time to myself.“
